Colombia international James Rodriguez believes he can play at the top level for many years to come after making the switch to the Premier League with Everton. The 29-year-old endured a frustration final season with Real Madrid where he was restricted to only 14 appearances across all competitions.

He has now made the switch to the Toffees on an initial two-year contract and is hopeful that he can make an impact with the Merseyside outfit, who have high ambitions for the future, he told:“I still think I am young and have many years left in me of playing good football and that’s why I am here, to do it at this great club. This is what I want. I hope I can be at a top level. I look around me and I see winners on the field and in the backroom staff. It’s a club where I see serious people inside, who want to win, and this is a strong point for all those that the club want [to sign]. I am full of positives.”

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has assured that the club stands united brushing off questions regarding Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid. The Welshman has only played 100 minutes for the club since the return of the league after the three months-long period of lockdown. In the world cup, they qualified for the quarter-finals and he had played a major role in it. He was later transferred to Real Madrid for £71 million from Monaco as signed a six-year contract with the club.

But under Zinedine Zidane, he has been unable to make the regular team and with the current competition,it is hard for him to make it up to the team.

Real Madrid are looking forward to signing the Uruguayan forward Facundo Pellistri from the club Penarol. They have previously signed Federico Valverde who is now has become one of the best midfielders of Real. They signed him for £5 million five years back and he now is playing for the first team of the club by contributing a lot.

Juni Calafat is Madrid’s chief scout who bought Valverde, ViniciusJunior and Rodrygo to the club. Now, he has been keeping Pellistri on the radar. Apart from Real Madrid, other clubs from Europe like Wolves, Napoli and Atletico Madrid have shown interest.
