Real Madrid are looking forward to signing the Uruguayan forward Facundo Pellistri from the club Penarol. They have previously signed Federico Valverde who is now has become one of the best midfielders of Real. They signed him for £5 million five years back and he now is playing for the first team of the club by contributing a lot.

Juni Calafat is Madrid’s chief scout who bought Valverde, ViniciusJunior and Rodrygo to the club. Now, he has been keeping Pellistri on the radar. Apart from Real Madrid, other clubs from Europe like Wolves, Napoli and Atletico Madrid have shown interest.

Pellistri started playing futsal that has made legends like Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez. He joined Penarol when four years old. He made his debut match for the club on 2019 and had an immediate effect on the team’s progress. He under Diego Forlan has performed exceptionally who was the ace player of Uruguay, Manchester United, and Atletico Madrid. In the 2020 season, he has started off well when the game was brought to halt due to Covid 19.

Pellistri has huge potential. There is still a lot to work on. He is growing and he makes the difference. We know it will be difficult to keep him for a long time. He has great pace and that is hard to handle,” saidCalafat.

Every player will have an interest in playing in Europe and Real’s offer will be hard to ignore. But Argentinian club Boca Juniors has shown interest towards the player. Juan Roman Riquelme, vice president of Boca Juniors, said that he is a good player and highly valued, but will have to wait in order to see if he will join the club.

The forward has extended his contract for £12 million and Penarol is aware that they have to sell the player to compensate for the financial constraints brought by coronavirus. With the transfer window opening on June, he will have two options to join Real Madrid or Boca.
